![]() ![]() Figuring out how to quickly and effectively take out large masses of identical Marine grunts or zombie soldiers was much more fun than I’d expected the arrogant man-eater Hancock, my favorite character to play as, has a pretty badass kick that can take out 100 enemies in a matter of seconds. As I progressed and unlocked more characters, I found a few that better suited my play style and made my four-figure KO count far more satisfying. ![]() ![]() My only incentive to change up my moves was to avoid hearing Luffy shout “jyaianto pisutoru!” (Giant Pistol, the result of pressing square five times in succession) for what felt like the thousandth time. Luffy, I felt like a rubbery bulldozer combat was so easy that I could effectively use the same combo over and over again with no difficulty. It takes after the Dynasty Warriors model of gameplay, characterized by large-scale combat and crazy-high kill counts - but taking out 50 enemies in one hit isn’t so much satisfying as it is mind-numbingly repetitive, at least in the earlier stages.
